  Hello. I’m Sasha Roseneil, the new Vice-Chancellor of the AVÊÓƵ.

  I wanted to reach out to our community of supporters and thank you for your incredible generosity.

  I’ve been really heartened to learn since I arrived at Sussex, about the many ways in which you support the University, particularly giving regularly to the Sussex Fund, which supports our students in their times of real need. And we’re expecting there might be considerable need this coming year, unfortunately.

  We also want to thank you for the work that you do supporting scholarships and our world-leading research and also the legacy gifts that some of you are setting up to support Sussex in the future.

  But I’ve also really enjoyed learning about the ways in which you give your time to Sussex, mentoring students, supporting us with recruitment and lending us your expertise and knowledge to help us in our institutional work.

  So, I would like to invite you, if you’re interested in finding ways to work with us, to support us, to get in touch with the Development and Alumni Relations team, to talk with them about how you might help us with our work.

  Tackling climate change and intensifying inequalities, environmental degradation and geopolitical strife. Trying, as we do at Sussex, to make the world a better place, a better, more equitable place for everyone.

  I hope very much in the coming months I might get to meet many of you.

  And in the meantime, I just want to thank you again for your support.
