Pre-Requisite

MSc Computer Science (conversion). Pre-requisite 974G5 Video Production Techniques.

Module Outline

This module covers the tools and techniques used in broadcast and video production.
This includes studio, team and production management. Studio and camera basics and techniques, sound recording, lighting for studio and non-studio work. Pre-production research and methods (resource management, team organisation, visual continuity). Post production including non-linear video editing, audio post.

Module learning outcomes

Demonstrate an understanding of the management process required for video production in a team environment.

Show understanding and technical competency in the operation of broadcast video & audio equipment in a studio and non-studio environment.

Synthesise a video production demonstrating the video production workflow

Systematically and creatively demonstrate the ability to produce video packages within the specifications given in this module.
