Postgraduate Researcher Sub-Committee
The Postgraduate Researcher Sub-Committee (PGRSC), a sub-committee of University Research and Innovation Committee (URIC), oversees PGR provision and support at Sussex.
Remit
The PGRSC's terms of reference are available here, and reviewed annually. Broadly, the PGRSC is responsible for institutional strategy relating to PGR provision and support, and for the quality assurance of research degrees, including overseeing the annual review of the main PGR policy (the Policy on Research Degrees). Other aspects of PGR provision and support (including PGR recruitment and widening participation, funding, culture and wellbeing, training and development, and academic progression and assessment) are delegated to the PGRSC's sub-committees.

Colleagues wishing to submit an item for discussion at a meeting of the PGRSC should contact pgr-governance@sussex.ac.uk in good time before the meeting at which they wish their item to be discussed. In all cases, the deadline for papers is two weeks prior to the meeting.
