Postgraduate Researcher workspaces
Doctoral Common Room, Silverstone SB312
The School Doctoral Common Room is a new room dedicated to postgraduate researchers in the School. It is located in the Silverstone building, room SB312 on the floor above the Research team office. It is a quiet social space with a Nespresso coffee machine and fridge solely for your use. The room is bookable for research events through MAH-PGR@sussex.ac.uk.
Social Space, Silverstone SB314
Opposite the Common Room is a larger social space, which can be used by all students in the School. With a range of comfortable seating and tables to work at informally, it is a good place to meet.
Doctoral Workspaces
There are also a number of School workspaces available across the main campus buildings that make up the School of Media, Arts and Humanities (Arts A, Arts B, Arts C and Silverstone), including some dedicated spaces for creative practice PhDs such as music or drama. The rooms are accessible via key code, please email MAH-PGR@sussex.ac.uk to obtain a list of the rooms and their codes. All rooms have kettles and Dolce Gusto coffee machines so that you can bring in your preferred pods for drinks. Some have fridges.
