Norwich House Studio

**DUE TO ONGOING BUILDING WORK AROUND NORWICH HOUSE THE STUDIO IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE, PLEASE REVIEW THIS PAGE FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION**

Norwich House Studio is a bespoke space, geared towards presenter style TV production and group Podcast production. 

The Studio features an LED Lit set with Large Background Monitor, 3 camera set up for Video Production, 4 station set up podcast production, Audio Mixer, Vision Mixer, VT Control Station, Autocue plus more. Our broadcast studio is equipped to latest broadcasting standards and inclusive of high definition multi-cameras, industry standard gallery with lines and connectivity to facilitate outside broadcasts. 

The space is available to use by staff and students who have taken the Norwich House Induction. You will only be able to book the space and associated equipment via SISO once this has been complete. You can book an in-person Induction into the space . Inductions normally take 2/3 hours. Please contact MAHtechserv@sussex.ac.uk if there aren't currently any inductions scheduled.

Please note this facility is only avalible 10am till 6pm. Please be mindful this facility is located in a residential building. Please be mindful of noise when using the space. Any reports of misuse of the space my result in your access to the space being revoked. 


Booking 

To be able to book Norwich House Studio you first need to complete an in-person induction into the space and/or the online induction on canvas. Once completed you can book the space using the. Please contact MAHtechserv@sussex.ac.uk for more information.


Additional items you will need to book to gain access

To access the studio area of Norwich House you will need to book and collect the following items from the equipment stores (Silverstone R250) 

  • Access card
  • Equipment Cupboard Key

These need to be collected and returned during stores opening times. Please note you will not be able to gain access without these, and are additionally booked requirements that can be found under the 'stock' tab on SISO.   


Suggested Equipment 

This page will provide you with basic information into the minimum equipment you might use for the various setups available at Norwich House Studio.  Please note this information is for Guidance only.

All the below equipment can be found in the equipment storage cupboard found in Norwich House. Please note access to this cupboard is only made avalible once you have completed the induction. You are responsible for all equipment in the cupboard during the duration of your booking. All equipment is checked after every booking and adheres to the standard equipment loans policy T&C.

Please note this is a suggested basic list of equipment. It is your responsibility to ensure you have all the equipment you need for your Session.

Norwich House Group Podcast

Suggested Norwich House Group Audio/Podcast setup: Below is a basic guide to the equipment you may use in a group discussion audio/podcast set up in Norwich House. Please note this is a suggested basic list of equipment. It is your responsibility to ensure you have booked and collected all the equipment you need for your Session.

Suggested Norwich House Self Op Audio setup: Below is a basic guide to the equipment you may use in a Self op audio set up in Norwich House. Please note this is a suggested basic list of equipment. It is your responsibility to ensure you have booked and collected all the equipment you need for your Session.
