Research Staff Showcase Event - Apply to Design your Own Stall! *This event is part of the Research with Impact Day on Tuesday 7 June at the Bramber House Conference Centre The Research Staff Office are delighted to announce a unique event dedicated to celebrating the research achievements and impact of Sussex Research Staff, while allowing an opportunity for research staff to network and meet colleagues from across the university. The Research Staff Showcase will take place in the Terrace Room of Bramber House Conference Centre on the morning of Tuesday 7 June, and will include showcase type ‘stalls’ for Research Staff to present their research and activities with posters, publications, policy briefs, postcards and any other materials that you may wish to display. There will an award presented to the best stall at the Impact Award Ceremony in the afternoon, with voting taking place throughout the day. Research with Impact Forum - Introduction to the Researcher Development Concordat Thursday 10 March (2.30 pm - 4.00 pm) The next Research with Impact forum will take place on Thursday 10 March (2.30 pm - 4.00 pm) and will provide an introduction to the . Attending the forum will allow you to:
- Hear about the recommendations of the Concordat and its implication for Universities, Schools, Researchers, managers of Researchers and funders.
- Reflect on how you might support the implementation of the Concordat and deliver research with impact in your own space.
- Leave the webinar with a deeper understanding of the sector-wide challenges and opportunities around the implementation of the Concordat.
The forum will be hosted by Prof Keith Jones, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise, and Dr Erika Mancini, Chair of the Sussex Researcher Development Concordat Steering Group. A panel of stakeholders will present on the different aspects of the Concordat and this will be followed by a discussion on the topics raised. The event takes place on Thursday 10 March between 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm via Zoom. .

Join researchers from across the social sciences at the AVÊÓƵ to explore the value of knowledge exchange to the work of social science academics. The conversation will examine how knowledge exchange can shape research to build and grow impact. In particular, the event will look at how commercial practice can create social value – helping to engage partners and deliver sustainable impact. Who is it for? Enterprising Impact Conversations are for social science researchers and professional services teams at the universities of Sussex, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, York and Surrey. Join the conversation to explore new ways of working that will help you:

RESPIRE 4 Marie Sklodowska-Curie postdoctoral research fellowships – European fellowships These enable early-career scientists to carry out basic, translational or clinical research projects in the field of respiratory science at a host centre in a European country other than their own. Grants are worth up to €144,000 over 24 months. Deadline for Applications: 1st May 2022
