Autumn teaching

On this module, you’ll:

  • develop the professional skills required to operate in a medicinal science workplace
  • compile a portfolio of training, highlighting your considerable vocational and employability skills
  • create your own professional CV and log of professional development activities.

Through analysis of scientific communication to a range of audiences, you'll understand how to write in specific styles, including explaining complex concepts to a lay person as well a brief, referenced commentary pieces to a scholarly audience.

The topic of molecular modelling for drug design will be investigated. This gives you vital, hands-on experience of this key skill.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 22 hours of contact time and about 128 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
